I have submitted works on canvas for the 12x12x122 exhibit at BECA gallery, which will feature over 400 unique pieces submitted by artists worldwide. The entry was restricted to works on canvas, with dimensions of exactly 12x12 inches.
My thoughts on this from the outset were to create a relief using the canvas itself as the three-dimensional element. Wooden formers were clamped behind the stretched canvas, then epoxy resin applied to solidify the form, with fibreglass for further reinforcement.
